Sentence Scrambles

Sentence Scrambles are printable activities to help your students improve their word fluency (by reading the individual words before arranging them), reading fluency (as they read the sentences for accuracy), and writing fluency (as they record their sentences).

Kids work to build accurate sentences word-by-word, then use the recording sheet to write each sentence.

Sentence Scrambles are great for:

  • partner activities
  • group or independent work centers
  • early finisher activities
  • instructional assistants
  • substitutes
  • parent volunteers
  • small group intervention
  • whatever you can think of!

Print and laminate the recording sheets to reuse and save paper, or print one for each student to submit.
